Head of Aquaculture Finalist at the Aquaculture Awards 2022

Aquascot is proud to announce our soon-to-be departed Head of Aquaculture Ed Ley-Wilson is a finalist for the Unsung Hero Award in the Aquaculture Awards 2022.

Ed is an impassioned champion of UK aquaculture, with an unwavering focus on promoting continuous improvement, advancing production standards and assuring animal welfare across the sector. His nomination is a marker of our esteem for his work, prior to him taking a well-earned sabbatical. Ed truly embodies all of the Aquascot values and while his preference may be to work tirelessly and quietly in the background, we wanted to formally recognise his contribution to our sector as a whole, to date.

At Aquascot we are proud of everything he has achieved, but for the ultimately precis we will let Ed speak for himself — please enjoy his recent interview reflecting on his “values-led existence”, Part 1 and Part 2.

The role of Head of Aquaculture has been transitioned to Andrew Davie — who joined us as Innovation Lead back in 2021.
